Martin Soltau presented the UK Study into Space Based Solar Power and introduced the Space Energy Initiative during the Space Power session of this symposium, organised by International Peace Alliance (Space). The other presenters and panel members included John Mankins – Chair IAF Space Power Committee, Li Ming – Chair of the Committee of Space Solar Power Station at CAST, Leopold Summerer – Head of Advanced Concepts Team at ESA, Zhang Yiqun – CAST, and Emma Southwell-Sander – EnergyTec Manager at Harwell. Following the presentations, a lively panel session was chaired by John Mankins and the session gave an excellent international profile for the Space Energy Initiative.
