On 5 August 2021, at an event presented by the Foreign Press Association, John Mankins and Tony DeTora tabled a draft policy directive encouraging the US Government to back a civil Space Solar Power Programme. They set out an ambitious decadal roadmap, including lunar as well as terrestrial power.
